In true Mercury and Venus retrograde in Scorpio season, I’m late to get this post up! Apologies!
In the 60’s and 70’s there was much talk that those born in Aquarius and Scorpio would have the most helpful Sun signs for the coming New Age. We may question when the New Age will be here in full. We may wonder how far into the death throes of the Kali Yaga machine age we are. However, I think most of us would believe we are in process. So let’s consider why Scorpios help us right now.
The big leap moving into the New Age is from a mind based way of life is to an intuitive based way of life. Living with the mind in charge has broken the world. The mind is a construct of ideas with no coherence, whereas intuition taps us into the eternal within us. Scorpio calls us to this leap. It is not a mind based sign. It promotes felt, emotional processes of transformation and alchemy.
This can sometimes mean that Scorpios or those with a lot of Scorpio in their charts may have a hard time explaining themselves in a mental way to a world that clamors for mental explanations of everything. This is not how Scorpios work. They bring things into consciousness, resolve complex concerns and sink into truth, but not in a wordy, mental sort of way. They map out their inner landscape outside the limited framwork of mind.
When Scorpios do this deep inner work of transformation using their intuitive gifts, they move mountains. If they resist the work, they can feel like icebergs. We may recognize in a Scorpio we know and love that something heavy is there within them that needs to flow, but we can’t quantify what it is or even what is going on. Only they can move this energy. The good news is that harnessing their inner strengths, they can do it.
THE ILLUSION OF CONTROL
Mind promotes the idea of control. Scorpios can have the strength to let go of this illusion of control. Scorpios can move into a space of knowing control is not the point. They can masterfully dismantle a control mindset. Their deep subterranean waters can help them flow into their eternal self which knows control is never the task or the destination.
Despite what the mind would claim that we can control everything by thinking, we are never in control of how things evolve. We can reject this truth and double down in a futile effort to control or we can let go into this truth that we are not in control. We are responsible for how we show up in our lives and what energy and focus we bring to our lives BUT we are not in charge nor can we control OUTCOMES. Scorpio knows this.
FOR THOSE BORN BETWEEN NOVEMBER 1983 and NOVEMBER 1995
This group of Core Millennials have Pluto in Scorpio. This generational group is confronting head on issues about control. This group are intense, deeply driven old souls constantly navigating themes of personal power, emotional survival and the shredding of old psychological patterns. Social media arose to take them off mission and ensnare them in efforts to control the narrative with the creation of manufactured facebook and instagram personas. This shadow side of Pluto in Scorpio actually reveals the work of this group: to be true to themselves. I salute the many in this group of souls who either returned or remained ever true to the essential task of living their truth with blazing honesty and a courageous inner search for the genuine.
AN ASIDE ABOUT BOOMERS
BTW I will get back to this when I write about Leo season next year, but right now I want to say one thing about Boomers. In contrast to those with Pluto in Scorpio, Boomers have Pluto in Leo so they tend to like the limelight. Sadly this means that as a group we seem to have an enormous reluctance to leave the spotlight. It is time for Boomers to let go of the spotlight. We do not need to be the bright young things taking center stage at the party. In point of fact, we are NOT the bright young things at the party anymore. It’s time for us to let other generations take center stage and for us to get on with the vital work of going within to do some Scorpio soul searching.
SCORPIO SOUL SEARCHING
We all have a deep wells of truth submerged and subconscious within us. Scorpios have a particular power to bring these truths to the surface, but Scorpio season fuels this process for us all. Scorpio season bring this material into the light of day more easily than at other times of the year. The Scorpio energy of this time of year helps us metabolize these deep truths into a felt and conscious reality.
SCORPIO SEASON
In Scorpio season, the tasks of Scorpios become the work for all of us. The veil thins between the known and unknown worlds during Scorpio season. Scorpio season brings hidden truths to the surface. This rising up reveals things we may not want to face. If we are brave enough, these surfacing truths empower us to be emotionally more self aware and make choices from what we intuitively know to be true. In doing this work, we can become more at peace with what is going on inside us. This inner emotional calibration creates an energy field that radiates grounded calm. By engaging consciously in this process, surfacing truths are less likely to leave us off balanced or reactive.
SCORPIO AS RULER OF THE EIGHTH HOUSE
Scorpio rules the 8th house. A mysterious house, the 8th house concerns things you can’t control, ego death, the unexpected, merging and the dismantling of who you think you are. Mind concepts don’t alchemize these situations, but Scorpio’s strengths do.
SCORPIO FLOWER ESSENCE
Our Scorpio Flower Essence was created to support Scorpios in their vital work and steer them away from Scorpio stumbling blocks. The feedback we have gotten about this mix so far has been powerful. What has surfaced for me is that no matter when you were born, this Scorpio Flower Essence helps us all in inner work we all must do.
