Last night I dreamed I was talking to one of you about Timely Virus Mix. The dream felt like a prompt to remind you all that this powerhouse is still on our shelves and there to support us through cold and flu season both as a preventative Flower Essence mix and as a vital support if we get sick.

Many of you requested we make a mix to support everyone during 2020 to address the virus, so we sat with our Angel and Elemental partners to create this remedy. This week one of the emails we received was from the mother of a large family of small children. Her plate was filled with taking care of these little people. In many ways she felt maxed out. And no wonder! The physical demands of giving birth combined with the many years of intensive child care that follow for mothers is an astounding output of energy. Mothers have my total respect and appreciation. 

And while our culture in general gives mothers only lip service, it was heartening to hear from a young friend at Harvard Business School who went to a talk by Reese Witherspoon. Reese told the business school students to hire mothers, saying no one is more organized, more hard working or more responsible than mothers.

The mother that emailed us was in the trenches receiving few accolades. It was our great joy as an office of women and an office of mothers of many ages to assemble a custom mix for this mother and send our love along to her with the mix. As I said to this mother, “If you felt a wave of love coming from us this morning you were not imagining it.”

My choices are meant to support her physical repair and recovery from the overwhelming exhaustion of years of night and day physical work. Recovery, Vitality, Restore Divine Order, Ethereal Fluidium Super Glue, Maple and Vitex are there to support her in this big task.

I also wanted her to receive support from some Flowers that offer sheltering love and see her role in the world as vital. Dombeya Wallichii, Motherwort and the Sacred Feminine speak to this.

The mothers in the office said their focus for her was sanctuary and supporting her to find respite from her life as a mother. Sanctuary and Golden Armor were there for this.

The young mothers in the office also said that it had helped them to use the Flower Essences as part of a moment in each day in which they got a time out and had a quiet moment in a space separate from their kids, a moment away from the noise and chaos and endless demands of their lives as mothers to take care of just themselves. 

One of the office mothers noted that the physical process of using the Essences has helped her make an actual physical moment in her day when she gets to take care of only herself. 

In addition to the mix, I suggested an Essence like Emergency Care might also be good to have for moments of understandable overwhelm. It is such a complex time on earth, and this mom (all moms) have a very complex life. Having Emergency Care to use, even just keep in your purse or pocket, can be helpful.

I suggested she make dosage bottles from her custom mix– i.e. put a couple dropperful of the custom mix in an empty 2 oz spritzer bottle then filling with water. This would mean she could make many dosage bottles from the custom mix and use it as frequently as she wanted. 

I am all for this because giving Flower Essences to everyone in a household is an excellent way to take care of the mother. As her kids’ electrical systems simmer down because of the gifts of the Flower Essences, so too do the demands on the mother.

So I suggested this mom spritz the mix over your kids too. Children love Flower Essences and have a natural intuitive sense of how helpful they are . More importantly children let the Essences work incredibly well because they don’t have adult skepticism running interference.

Countless children have walked into our shipping room and gone directly to the Essences right for their situations. Our office has over 400 Flower Essences on our shelves!

Recently a six year old walked in and picked the perfect pair of Essences to help her with her parent’s recent separation. The accuracy of children in picking just the right Essences to comfort and heal themselves never ceases to astound me. 

In any case, I feel strongly that if her children’s electrical systems were calmed by Essences, that  would positively impacts her.. I suggested that if she wanted to get a different Flower Essence for her children she might think about an Essence like Arbor Garden or Anxiety and use this in a spritzer bottle to spritz everyone in the household. When my grandchildren come here, right off the bat they want me to spritz them with Flower Essences and they always want to take a couple home when they go! I love this!.

A new rescue kitty joined us at the farm this week. Meet Augusta.

First I would like to thank her foster person, Mary, who did such an amazing job with Augusta. The selfless dedication of folks fostering animals never ceases to amaze me, and I will always be grateful to Mary for giving this dear rescue a new beginning after her rough start.

We have had many rescue cats over the years. Helping them feel confident, secure and happy in their new life has meant sharing many a Flower Essence with these new family members.

Before Augusta arrived I spritzed the rooms of the house with a custom Flower Essence mix. This was meant to help all of us find a calm place from which to welcome Augusta.

This mix continues to be the mix I spritz around the household and also spritz on Augusta’s food. Everyone in a household shares their electrical vibrations, so the calmer each of us is, the easier it is for all of us to be calm.

Whenever one animal in a household is having a challenging time, I suggest everyone in the household work with the Essences. If everyone in a household is working to hold a higher vibration, it is much easier for the animal experiencing the challenges to find that higher vibration too. Coming into a new household is a challenge for the new arrival and a challenge for the old guard too. Everyone can benefit from the Essences duing this kind of transition.

Augusta arrived in our household on a cold, fall night. She had travelled across Vermont from her foster home in a crate. We opened the door to the crate and spritzed a bit more then waited for her to come join us in her own good time. When her curiosity overcame her nerves, she came out of the crate to check us out. And so began our new life with Augusta.

Arbor Garden and Sanctuary were included in the Flower Essence mix I am using. These two Essences help animals (and people) feel safe even in very challenging situations. I need to write more about Sanctuary for animals as it has stepped forward as a key Flower Essence remedy for so many animals.

I included Abandonment & Abuse because of Augusta’s rescue experience. This is our most beloved remedy for rescues, and I will share it with Augusta indefinitely as I do not fully know what she has gone through already in her young life. I know she was a feral kitten rescued by a rescue organization, and I know Mary did an incredible job fostering her.

Of course there was New Beginnings in her mix!

And Golden Armor!

Golden Armor helps animals feel contained in their own safe energetic space. It is a game changer when an animal is scared by loud noises, confusion and the unknown. There can be quite a lot going on at the farm. Noise, bustle, people coming and going. No matter that we aim to keep things calm for Augusta in her new life, there can be still moments that might scare a rescue. And then there is dear Sheba, our rescue terrier chihuahua mix. She recently lost her cat friend Pippa, a precious rescue with us since 2011. We wondered how Sheba would take to the arrival of Augusta. To help her with the task of welcoming Augusta, Jealousy went in the mix.

Sheba has done a great job. She has monopolized the cat bed we made for Augusta, but other than that she has been an excellent elder stateswoman to this sparkplug of a kitty.

As I type this, Augusta has tucked herself under my elbow for a well deserved nap. She is purring loudly while Sheba is sacked out about two feet away. I am grateful to the gift of Flower Essences easing all of us into our new life together, and I am grateful for the sweet joy of this new kitty and my BFF Sheba who has done such a good job welcoming in her new cat sibling.
