Today I tried to upload the photographs and the definitions for the new Desert Wildflower Essences, but so far the joke is on me, as I have had new and mysterious blog problems. Ben is on the job so hopefully we will resolve this pronto. In the meantime, the indomitable crocuses have arrived!
“Spring” Activities
While Mishka dreams of summer

some of us keep the home fires burning with maple sap,

some of us look out the windows at happy dogs and new fallen snow

and some of us, optimistically dress in shorts to prune the grapes in the Arbor Garden.

Eggxactly Spring
Several days ago, we welcomed the first day of spring with the traditional egg balance. As I was having blog upload problems, we celebrated spring at eggxactly the right moment, but we didn’t eggxactly get this posted on time!
Here it is with continuing spring blessings!

After a successful balance, the men departed to their couch venue to watch the first of sixteen thousand hours of March madness NCAA basketball.
After April 7th, when the final game is played in the Alamodome, I expect to have a conversation with one of them that does not involve a spherical object of any sort.
And maybe by then, the snow will be gone as well.
Or maybe not.

Coming Attractions
Lizzy returned from her trip to the west where she climbed

red rocks

and cold rocks,

tall rocks

and rocks in the hot sun.

And as is every mother’s hope, she returned in one piece

with some WONDERFUL new

Desert Wildflower Essences from the Mojave Desert,

Death Valley

and the Sierra Nevada near Bishop, CA.
Lizzy and I have identified all but three of these dozen Desert beauties. Once I have a moment to sit with these Flowers and hear what they have to say for themselves, I will post their pictures and what we have learned about them.
In the meantime, Spring begins to shine its sweet Flowered face here at the farm as well.

Snowdrops!
