But for me, one major focus is piles.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/www.greenhopeessences.com\/wordpress\/wp-contents\/upload\/2010\/04\/img-1645.jpg\" height=\"518\" width=\"388\" border=\"1\" hspace=\"4\" vspace=\"4\" alt=\"IMG_1645.JPG\" title=\"IMG_1645.JPG\" \/><\/p>\n<p>This is the Rose Garden whose gorgeous face graces the top of almost every page on the web site.  To have it look as lovely as it does in June when that photo was taken, in April I need to:<\/p>\n<p>Haul manure from the manure <strong>pile<\/strong> to put on each Rose.<br \/>\nHaul compost from a well composted compost <strong>pile<\/strong> to put on all the Flower beds in the garden.<br \/>\nMake <strong>piles<\/strong> of the weeds and Rose suckers that I have weeded out of the garden.<br \/>\nHaul away these <strong>piles<\/strong> of weeds and Rose canes and add them to a new compost <strong>pile.<\/strong><br \/>\nHaul mulch from the native bark mulch <strong>pile<\/strong> to cover all the exposed soil in the garden.<br \/>\nCome inside at days end to find a <strong>pile<\/strong> of dishes.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/www.greenhopeessences.com\/wordpress\/wp-contents\/upload\/2010\/04\/img-16381.jpg\" height=\"172\" width=\"129\" border=\"1\" hspace=\"4\" vspace=\"4\" alt=\"IMG_1638.JPG\" title=\"IMG_1638.JPG\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Is it any wonder that I am missing Emily, who last year came home from college in April to be my pile partner?<\/p>\n<p>This year, while Lizzy, Deb, Sophie, and Jess manage the office piles of orders and packages, I am in charge of the outside piles, because for Emily it is still<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/www.greenhopeessences.com\/wordpress\/wp-contents\/upload\/2010\/04\/img-1639.jpg\" height=\"207\" width=\"276\" border=\"1\" hspace=\"4\" vspace=\"4\" alt=\"IMG_1639.JPG\" title=\"IMG_1639.JPG\" \/><\/p>\n<p>while for me, it is dawn breaking over the biggest pile of bark mulch yet.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/www.greenhopeessences.com\/wordpress\/wp-contents\/upload\/2010\/04\/img-16431.jpg\" height=\"414\" width=\"552\" border=\"1\" hspace=\"4\" vspace=\"4\" alt=\"IMG_1643.JPG\" title=\"IMG_1643.JPG\" \/><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Spring is about many things, for many people.
